Thanks to the facilities given by the organization of Tall Ship Celebration Erie and the great welcome from the residents, the floating museum, El Galleon Andalucia replica of the Spanish galleons that plied the seas during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries will remain open to the public on the site of Bay City, until next Tuesday, september 13th.

During the days scheduled for the Great Lakes Tall Ship Challenge 2016 event in Erie, there are many neighbors who have enjoyed climbing aboard the Galleon Andalusia due to large lines to access it. These lines came to last about 3 hours in some cases. Therefore, and as an exceptional measure, Tall Ship Celebration Erie, has allowed the Spanish boat remain open to the public port, during Monday and Tuesday in extended hours from 10 am to 7 pm, with a price entry $ 10 for adults, $ 5 for children under 14 and free for children under 5 years. Anyway, and as a compensatory measure, we will make a $ 2 discount to all persons who have purchased their entry festival and present it at the box office of The Galleon.

“We want to thank the organization for allowing us to carry out this exceptional measure and especially to the thousands of residents of Erie who have shown us their support and love during these days. Also those who even having bought the entrance to the festival, they have not been able to climb aboard the Galleon Andalucia for long lines”. Besides, the money raised during these extra days will be used to fund pilots fees during our trip around the Great Lakes, which, as you know, are high. Says Fernando Viota, Manager of El Galeón.
