The Galeón Andalucía is already in Valencia to open its decks to the public for the first time. The ship, a replica of the galleons that united Asia with Europe and America centuries ago, has berthed on the afternoon of Wednesday the 14th in the Port of Valencia, specifically in Veles e Vents, where it will remain open for visits until next Sunday, March 19th.

The event was framed within the Maritime Festival of Valencia, and next to El Galeón was also scheduled the arrival of the Nao Victoria, replica of the first ship that went around the world captained by Magallanes and Elcano now almost 500 years ago, but due to conditions Adverse to the navigation in the always complicated strait of Gibraltar, it has made it impossible for the ship, managed by the Nao Victoria Foundation, to leave Punta Umbria, where it has spent the last weeks getting ready for the 2018 tour.

Anyway, a week of failures in Valencia that will have a special guest of exception in the port, thus providing the city of Turia with a complementary offer of leisure and culture for the whole family, in one of the most marked of the year by the Valencians.

The visit to the Galeón is self-guided, being able to walk through 5 decks, talk with the crew and learn about the social historical context in which these types of boats were developed during the 16th and 17th centuries. A visit with no time limit in which you can make all the photos and videos you want.
