The Nao Victoria Foundation continues to fulfill its objective of sharing and making known the Spanish maritime culture of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries throughout the world. After almost 5 years of traveling between the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico, the east coast of the USA and the Great Lakes (the only Spanish ship to navigate the 5 lakes), this summer has been making known the social historical context in which this type emerges of boat in northern Europe with special emphasis on different cities in France, a country that has received exceptionally both the boat and all its crew, who wanted to highlight the pleasant and unexpected surprise of feeling so wrapped up so many kilometers from home.
On this occasion, the floating museum of 50 meters in length and 10 in beam, is preceded by its impressive forms to the port of Bayonne in France, one of the most important cities of the Gallic country and in which the Galleon will be docked and with its covered open to the public from August 29 to September 9, giving the opportunity to all the neighbors to spend a wonderful family day while enjoying the culture and history through their senses.
