Day 17

Coffee consumed: I am coffee in human form.

It’s official, we are out of Nutella.

With this crossing coming to an end it’s almost time to say goodbye to this ship I call home and these crewmates that I call family. We have seen some amazing sunrises, sunsets and the occasional rain shower in the 4 to 8 watches. In those hours, we have found who is and is not a morning person me being one of them. We know what drives each other insane. We pick each other up when someone is down. Ship life can be hard, but with lots of coffee, biscuits, and good company it’s not so bad.

One of the things that I will miss the most is this spot at the front of the ship there is the cutwater. You can go right to the very front of ship and all you can see is the endless ocean in front of you and the sound of the waves crashing against the bow of the ship below and the creaking of the rigging behind you. There is something about this feeling that makes me feel at home out here.

Big hugs to the whole crazy family. See you all soon!
